Make one bud, thats the best and cheapest way. You can buy the cross-net and paddles and balls easy, Just go to hardware stores and look for a big surface. Most already made tables are gonna be a lot and not as big as you want. The bigger the more fun.

You used to be able to purchase table tennis tops at lumber stores. Check my dimensions, as I recall they are 4.5 by 9 ft. I do know the table is larger than the normal sheet of plywood (4 x 8 ft.). You need a face on one side (G1S) that is all one piece so balls don't do weird things bouncing on seams. The thicker the table top the livelier the bounce of the ping pong balls. My table top when I was a kid was only about 1/2" thick and the ones at the recreation halls in the city were over 1" thick and you really could tell the difference.
When you finish your top, you stain it (not paint) so there is friction for the balls. There are directions for table height and rules and how to paint in some DIY books. There may even be some ideas for you should you want to splice your own table top such that seams are completely joined such that they will not come apart and adversely affect ball trajectories. DIY should easily be under $ 800 and you could set the top on saw horses made to hold the top at the correct height.
    Good luck.
